Michael Carter

Michael Alonzo Carter, 62, was born on March 23, 1964 and departed this life on June 12, 2026.

Michael attended Garfield High School where he was a member of the wrestling team and the football team. Michael enjoyed sports as he coached football for 19 years. He coached the Jagz Semi Pro Football Team and was most known for coaching the South Rangers, helping lead both teams to multiple championships.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Pryor; grandparents, Eddie Belle and James Porter; and sister, Denise Bowers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Donald (Tonya) Carter; brother, Don (Carmilla) Carter; sister, Keisha (Ike) Kuegah Toyo of Georgia; life partner and fiancée, Kimberly Livingston; children, Martino, Trevon, Amber, and Treasure (Lauren) Livingston; 24 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; special nephew, Darrell Bowers; and special friend, Willie Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at Providence Baptist Church, 458 Madison Ave, Akron, OH 44320. Funeral services will immediately follow.
