She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and caring for friends and family.\u00a0 Especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Gwen moved to Akron, Ohio, in 1992.\u00a0 Upon her move to Akron, Gwen visited, and in 2008 joined Perfecting Saint\u2019s Church under the leadership of Dr. Ollie Colliner-Jones.\u00a0 Gwen loved The Lord and her church.\u00a0 She taught Sunday School and Bible Study, along with preparing and serving hot meals for the congregation.<\/p>\n<p>Gwen departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2021.\u00a0 She leaves to cherish her memory, her lifelong partner, Jai Flake; 4 Children Karen Carter-Bell, Derrick Carter, Charlie Scott (Chris), and Arnetta Hill.\u00a0 2 Grandchildren that preceded her in death, Keilah Bogarty and Diamond Russell.\u00a0 \u00a012 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Sister Voncille Carter, 3 Brothers Otis Carter Jr., William B.
