Simpson on August 5, 1944.<\/p>\n<p>He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Strickling and Sarah Harmon; sister, Oona Jean Strickling.<br \/>\nLes was a honorable retired veteran. He served in the United States Marine Corp, US Army and the US Army Reserves. He was a sergeant in the service with many medals, badges and decorations. He was a honored for his rifle marksmenship, Desert Storm Operation, and National Defense to name a few.  Les retired after serving from 1960 until 2004.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Annie Strickling; son, Timothy L. (Kia) Strickling; sister, Patty Ann Williams; grandchildren, Timothy Jr, Kelis and Kevin Strickling; stepchildren, Charles Hayes and Cynthia Jones; nephew, Bryan L.
