Arnold \u201cJohnboy\u201d age seventy-three passed away August 25, 2021 at Hickory Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.<br \/>\nHe was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio born July 23, 1948. Something most people didn\u2019t know about Johnny, when he was 3 years old he was accidentally hit by a truck and had brain injuries. He was in the hospital for a number of weeks. Upon being discharged from the hospital he was a normal playful little boy. John would take off his shirt to give to anyone. He managed to stay a delightful person and was always full of laughter. He believed in keeping himself well-groomed from head to toe. John went on to trucking school and worked for several trucking companies and later established his own moving services, working by word of mouth until he became disabled. He will be remembered as someone whom you could always count on for help in your time of need.<br \/>\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helen Arnold; sisters, Marsh Dee Gale Arnold and Cathy Lee; and brother, Gerald Arnold.<br \/>\nHe leaves to cherish his memory brother, Royal (Marian) Arnold and Gary Arnold; sisters, Mona (John) Diamond, Carla Arnold, Donna (Gregg) Carter, Helen Duboise and Beverly (Ronnie) Latson; special cousins, Melvin and Candy; special friends, DeeDee Taylor, Teresa, and Ms. Kathleen Natalino; and a host of nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n","Image":false,"funeral_location":"Sommerville Funeral Services 1695 Diagonal Rd., Akron, OH 44320","funeral_service_date":"September 3, 2021","viewing_time":"11:00 am","service_time":"12:00 pm","video_link":""},"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituaries\/1769","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituaries"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/obituaries"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1770"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1769"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
