Michael \u201cBlake\u201d Jones, absent from the body present with the Lord; made his spiritual transition on February 14, 2022. Born into the union of the late George Blake Jones Sr. and Claudia Mae Jones on July 5, 1955, in Roanoke, AL. He was the fifth child out of five children.
\nHe accepted Christ at an early age in Roanoke, AL. Michael met and married the love of his life of 10 years Jeanie Smith-Jones (former wife); whom God anointed their continuing relationship of being best friends.
\nHe was employed by Babcock & Wilcox and Ken Tool as a certified welder.
\nMichael was preceded in death by his father, George Blake Jones Sr.; brother, George Robert Jones; sister, Patricia (Tommy) Jones.
\nHe leaves to cherish his memories, loving daughter, Ashley \u201cBabyface\u201d; mother, Claudia Mae; sister, Barbara Williams; brother, Stanley (Bobbi) Jones of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Jeralene Jones-Brown and a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
\nMichael had a \u201cHeart of Gold\u201d he was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend. He had a way of finding the good in everybody, no matter where they were in God\u2019s path. His legacy is to teach us all the meaning of unconditional acceptance, agape love and the true value of family and friends.
\nMichael loved sports, cooking, playing cards and \u0003spending time with family. As we send our loved one \u0003home to God, we thank you for joining us in saying \u0003farewell. Michael you are forever loved and missed.<\/p>\n
