He was the third of six children. He was a proud member of the United States<br \/>\nMarine Corps, actively serving from 1961 to 1964. Charles played softball on several intramural teams and was an avid bowler, playing with several recreational leagues.<\/p>\n<p>He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. with over 35 years of employment. He began his career as a line worker, advancing to a quality control supervisor before his retirement. <\/p>\n<p>Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Cherry Hamilton; brothers, William Frank (Loretta), Jim Jr. (Lucille), John, and sister, Brenda Gladney. <\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his sister, Hattie Terrell and daughter, Traci Hamilton, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 13th at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Ohio from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. Funeral service will immediately follow. <\/p>\n<p>Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
