Gray"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":3766,"template":"","class_list":["post-3765","obituaries","type-obituaries","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":{"sunrise":"May 6, 1943","sunset_date":"October 4, 2023","obituary":"<p>Mattie Jane Gray was born on May 6, 1943, to J.C. and Isabelle Avent.<\/p>\n<p>She was united in Holy Matrimony to Roland Taylor Gray.<\/p>\n<p>Born into this marriage were four children; Daughter, Michele Gray, sons, Anthony, Dorland and Vincent Gray and Honorable sons; Kevin Ashford and Ronald Caldwell.<\/p>\n<p>Mattie enjoyed spending time with her family, talking on the telephone with friends, fishing and playing bingo.<\/p>\n<p>She is preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Isabelle Avent of Grand Junction, Tennessee, husband Roland T. Gray; sons Anthony, Dorland and Vincent all of Akron Ohio. Sisters Anna Avent and Delorse McCraney, brothers L.B. and R.D Avent all of Akron Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Michele R. Gray of Akron Ohio; Sister, Easter Ferguson; special granddaughter\u2019s, Veniece and Mattie Harris; Special great-grandson\u2019s, Kenneth and Kerris Grimes all of Akron Ohio, and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Special friends Mattie from \u201cbingo\u201d and Delorse White.<\/p>\n<p>Michele would like to thank everyone for all their thoughtfulness and prayers.
