Gregory Quenton Harrison, affectionately known to most as \u201cQ\u201d was born September 14, 1986, at Darnell Army Hospital in Ft. Hood, Texas.\u00a0 \u201cQ\u201d was an avid reader, gifted writer, self-taught artist and an advocate for social justice. He was a selfless, and self-determined person.<\/p>\n
After a courageous 37-year battle with Sickle Cell Anemia, Quenton was called to eternal rest.\u00a0 “Q” was quick-witted and always ready to offer you his opinion, no matter what subject or how wrong he was, he had an opinion. To best describe Quenton and how he viewed life, his mother once apologized to him for his parents passing the Sickle Cell gene to him which caused him to be in so much pain. Quenton\u2019s response to his mom was: \u201cMom pain is all I know, so how can I miss or be sad about something I never had? I\u2019m good\u201d. This was the courage in which \u201cQ” faced the reality of life and despite his many challenges, he continued to live it to the fullest. Quenton\u2019s journey through life is exemplified by the African Proverb \u201cIt takes a village to raise a child.\u201d Quenton was blessed to have an incredible village of family, friends and people who loved him unconditionally.<\/p>\n

Gilmore, Hackensack, NJ; aunt, <\/strong>Arnita Caryle.<\/p>\n Quenton is survived by his father, Gregory B. Harrison;\u00a0Mother\u00a0 \u00a0 Melody (Desmond Scott) Parker-Scott; brothers, Jordan L. Harrison, Indianapolis, IN.; James R. Harrison, William D. Harrison, both of Akron, OH., and sister, Siyahana Parker-Lopez, Chicago, IL.; grandmother,\u00a0 Elleaise (Floyd) Williams, Akron, OH; Mary Dixon, Columbia, SC; and grandfather, Irvin (Margaret) Parker, Columbus GA.; uncles, Griffin Gilmore, Augusta, GA; John (Tamera) Harrison, Johnny Hullum Jr.; Sydney (Angela) Harrison, all of\u00a0 Akron, OH; Treymane Williams, St. Clairsville, OH; Rodd (Shali) Parker, Ft.
