Theresa Ann Sommerville, 74, of Akron, OH, transitioned from earth to heaven on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at her residence.<\/p>\n
Theresa Ann Sommerville was born on January 23, 1950, to loving parents Barbara Sommerville and Harold Sommerville in Akron, Ohio. Theresa was a lifelong resident of Akron, graduating from East High School in 1968. After graduation, she entered the workforce, where she was employed by Summa Health as a nurse\u2019s aide for 48 years, retiring in 2014. \u00a0Theresa dedicated her life to Christ, being baptized at The House of The Lord, where she served as a member. Her commitment to caregiving extended beyond her profession as she was a devoted caregiver to her parents in their later years. As the oldest of 10 children, she naturally assumed the role of a second mother figure to her siblings. She welcomed two daughters and served as the mother figure to six bonus children. She was an integral part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren\u2019s lives, helping to care for them. Theresa\u2019s nurturing spirit was felt by all she encountered, impacting the lives of countless family and friends during her 74 years of life.<\/p>\n
She is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Harold Sommerville; sister, Rhonda Sommerville; and brothers, Keith Sommerville, Jerome Sommerville, and Gary Myers; stepson, Larry Hill.<\/p>\n
Left to celebrate her life loving partner of 49 years, Louis Hill; daughters, Rachelle and \u00a0Bridgid Sommerville; stepsons, Louis (Bridgette) Hill, Terry Jeffrey, Anthony Hill, and Patrick Hill; \u00a0stepdaughters, Autumn (Ray) Vaughn and Andrea Hill; sisters, Brenda Terrell (Charles), Michelle \u00a0(Benjamin) Bostick, and Lawanna Brooks; brothers, Cedric (Tracy) Sommerville and Terrance \u00a0Sommerville; granddaughter, Brittney Sommerville; grandsons, Andre, Angelo, and Aaron \u00a0Sommerville; great-granddaughters, Brylee, Kendyl, Ariyah, and Brittyn; great-grandsons, Angelo \u00a0Jr., Honore, Ladon, Jionni, Aaron Jr., and Asiah; several other bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.<\/p>\n
