Jefferson, on June<br \/>\n26, 2025. Ray died from mucus melanoma at Akron<br \/>\nCity Hospital (Summa). He was the father of<br \/>\nfour children, two of whom, Juanita and Christy,<br \/>\nsurvive him. Ray Jr. and Dana predeceased him.<br \/>\nBorn September 28, 1951 in Dallas to Minnie<br \/>\nand Joe Lee Hubbard (deceased), he was raised<br \/>\nin Oklahoma and has a sister, Shirley Chappelle<br \/>\nof California.<\/p>\n<p>Ray was a gentle loving man and a delightful<br \/>\nfriend who knew how to keep cars going even<br \/>\nwhen they were broken down. He was generous<br \/>\nwith his skills as a mechanic, which he studied to<br \/>\nbecome an expert. He was mechanically minded<br \/>\nhis whole life. Even his teachers knew he would<br \/>\nbe mechanic. He loved to make things work better.<br \/>\nHe loved garage sales, learning about history<br \/>\nand other countries. He was a people person who<br \/>\nknew and enjoyed all of his neighbors. He loved<br \/>\nlong rides in the country and working at his own<br \/>\nhome. During his early life he did farm work in<br \/>\nOklahoma. He overcame alcoholism an was a long<br \/>\ntime speaker for A.A, He was a country gentleman<br \/>\nwho loved people and enjoyed talking with them<br \/>\nand learning about their lives. He loved excursions<br \/>\nand loved Ohio (once he got here).<\/p>\n<p>He leaves cousins, nephews, friends and other<br \/>\nfamily members to mourn his passing.<\/p>\n<p>Cremation has taken place.
