Jacobs Sr. 67 of Akron, OH, passed away on April 8, 2020, after a long battle with illness.<\/p>\n<p>He was born to the late Lawrence Jacobs and Lillian Tucker, on January 25, 1953, in Akron, OH.<\/p>\n<p>He attended Akron Public Schools and received his degree from the streets of a \u201chard knock life\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Greg is survived by his children; Monique, Greg (Earlene), George (Cari), Mark, Dorothy (Ron) siblings; Mailan (Dennis) Fain, Lisa (Anthony) Taylor, Lorraine Jacobs, Shawntae Julie, Tasha Tucker, Larry Jacobs, William Jacobs, Gentile Dunn, Curtis (Cathy) Jacobs, Larry Jacobs, Andre (Clarissa) Andrews, Dwayne Jacobs, Lawrence Jacobs Jr., Eric Jacobs, and Tyrone Jacobs as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Gregory was preceded in death by parents Lawrence (Fannie) Jacobs and Lillian (Charles) Tucker and brothers George and Leonard Jacobs.<\/p>\n<p>Greg was known for his love of barbeque and boxing. Returning from San Diego, CA, where he founded \u201cBoxers Against Drugs\u201d and \u201cThe Real Deal Barbeque\u201d restaurant, he inflicted his love of boxing on all who knew him. He opened a Boxing Gym here in Akron, OH, followed by \u201cFelons For Hire Construction\u201d and a cooking training program for Felons. His dream was to open multiple restaurants and to write a book about his street life.
