Harley, 93 passed away on May 1, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Elmer W. Harley was born January 4, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio to Grace and Russell Harley.<br \/>\nHe was a World War II veteran, and served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. Elmer served in Asia, France, China, Greece, Turkey and San Juan, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>Elmer enjoyed traveling, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing board games. His favorites were plain checkers, Chinese checkers and Dominoes.<\/p>\n<p>He was a faithful member of Brown Street Church of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Elmer is preceded in death by mother, Grace Harley; father, Russell Harley; son, Tommy Harley; brothers, Morton, Howard, Earl, Milton, William, Charles, Arnold and Raymond; sisters, Janet and Ella.<\/p>\n<p>He leaves to cherish his memory loving daughter, Minnie Louise Harley Mayes (Florida), 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, David Harley (Ohio) and Russell Harley (California); special niece, Diane Harley Brown (Michigan) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>He will be greatly missed by all that loved him!<\/p>\n","Image":false,"funeral_location":"Sommerville Funeral Services","funeral_service_date":"May 12, 2020","viewing_time":"","service_time":"12:00 pm"},"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituaries\/868","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituaries"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/obituaries"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/869"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dev.sommervillefuneralservice.com\/dev\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=868"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
