Twyla Danae Pettiford, 52 passed away June 17, 2020. She was born in Barberton, Ohio on December 12, 1967, to John Pettiford and the late Evelyn (Pettiford) – Richardson.\u00a0\u00a0 She\u00a0graduated\u00a0from Barberton Public\u00a0Schools.<\/p>\n
Twyla worked for many years at InfoCision and was currently employed at Barberton Citizen Hospital (Summa Health Systems) until her death.<\/p>\n
Twyla was a mother of three children,\u00a0DiMichael\u00a0(Heather), Billy, and her baby\u00a0Deszmond.\u00a0Twyla was a loving\u00a0great mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She loved her family and friends of all ages. Her smile was contagious and she had a heart of gold. Twyla loved her Red lipstick, playing cards and going to Bingo but most of all she loved her kids and grandkids unconditionally.\u00a0\u00a0She was our sassy, classy Black Queen.<\/p>\n
Twyla was preceded in death by her mother,\u00a0Evelyn (Pettiford) Richardson; grandson,\u00a0 Kimani\u00a0Billy Walker; grandfathers, Elmo Cloud, Charles Pettiford and David L. Ross,\u00a0great-great grandmother, Lillie Mae\u00a0Delaney; grandmothers, Laura Cloud, Mary Ross and Betty Pettiford; uncles, Lewis John\u00a0Ingol\u00a0and\u00a0Arthur\u00a0Young; aunt, Gloria (Boobie) Young; brother and sister, Duey and LeRay Gibson; nephew, Tyler Richardson.<\/p>\n
She leaves to cherish her memory sons,\u00a0DiMichael\u00a0(Heather), Billy, and\u00a0Deszmond;\u00a0brothers, Lacey Pettiford\u00a0and Tyler\u00a0Richardson; sister,\u00a0JohnnieMae\u00a0Pettiford all of Akron, Oh; grandsons, Dimier and\u00a0Mickhale\u00a0Pettiford and Marcus Davis, Xavier and Izaiah Downey\u00a0all of Akron; granddaughters,\u00a0Kashmier\u00a0Scalf,\u00a0DiMaysha\u00a0Pettiford,\u00a0Billasia,\u00a0Aalayah\u00a0and\u00a0Nylei\u00a0and Baby Girl, Tianna Stillings, all of Akron, Oh; uncle, Fred (Kathy) Cloud of Akron, Oh and aunt, Florence Keys of Barberton, Oh; great aunts, Ola Mae Washington and Priscilla Cameron, nephew, Carl F.
